Armand, Duke of Mazomba, is the younger brother of Joslyn and Elodie's uncle.
He has a rather minor role and not much backstory. He's part of two optional events and one obligatory event:
In Week 22, Elodie can select him as a potential guardian for Adair, the underage heir of Elath, though the action will displease the boy's step-mother, Arisse. However, should a civil war break out after this, the forces of Elath will not be under Arisse's command to use against the crown.
Earlier, with enough Court Manners and Intrigue, Elodie can choose to dance with him during the Grand Ball of Week 17. In the same event, if Elodie faces a vote of no-confidence, he will follow his brother's example and vote in Elodie's favor, no matter what.
He's mentioned in a few epilogues.
Trivia
- His portrait is a combination of Joslyn's face and Talarist's (recolored) hair with different clothes.
- While he never interacts with Elodie, it's somewhat implied that he has faith in her, seeing as no matter how badly Elodie does in political matters he will always support her during the vote of no-confidence. However, if Elodie is a cruel queen and causes the death of most of her family (Joslyn dies and the Merva family is entirely executed), the epilogue mentions that he wants nothing to do with her.
