◆ A Land Divided
How to unlock |

The approval rating of the Novan nobles must be sufficiently low by Week 29 to cause Arisse to begin a civil war against you. There are no specific events which will cause the war to begin, so it's important to act in ways that generally disrespect the nobility to keep your approval low. Avoid taking classes in Royal Demeanor or Conversation. The following is an incomplete list of actions that will anger the nobility.
|
♣ Been challenged to a duel?
◆ The Gauntlet Thrown
How to unlock |
---|
If either Briony or Arisse are dead for whatever reason by Week 33, Kevan of Io will challenge you to a duel after the tournaments are over. In order for this to occur, you must have participated in one of the events of the tournament. You will not be presented with the duel challenge if you select "None" when prompted to choose an event. You do not have to win the duel, nor do you have to accept the challenge in order to receive the achievement. |

♣ Ordered an assassination?
◆ Make It Look Like An Accident
How to unlock |

♣ Forced someone else to get married?

How to unlock |

Have Foreign Affairs ≥ 20 by Week 10 to know why there were Ixion troops in Maree to begin with, then offer to punish the one responsible with marriage to an Ixion lord. |
◆ Victory At Sea
How to unlock |
---|
1) Avoid war beforehand at all costs to spare as much soldiers as possible. The easier method for the Ixion threat is to wear Talarist's necklace and Bluff/Intimidate the Ixion Diplomat in Week 10 and then "Threaten to attack" (Will succeed with Presence > 60). You can also choose to give up the Province and have Court Manners ≥ 60 by Week 35 to successfully request aid. To avoid civil war, do things that please nobles like refusing to raise taxes and siding with the nobles during conflicts.
2) To have enough ships, either ask your father to hire agents overseeing foreign threats (requires high Intrigue, around week 18 or 24); or have high Logistics and Trade by week 25 to have a warning about the threat before hand; or surrender the province to Ixion in week 10 and have high Court Manners to request their aid. 3) Rank high in all Military skills, especially Naval Strategy; Climbing and Wield Magic gives you a higher chance as well. 4) When offered a chance to recruit soldiers (tournament, prisoners, falling star omen, allies) or build ships, always say yes. 5) Do not use the concert method with other Lumens. 6) Command the fleet. |
♣ Become an evil minion?
◆ To Serve Evil
How to unlock |
---|
Have very high cruelty by always doing aggressive actions (killing people, killing animals via Hunting while angry), lose the naval battle, then offer an alliance with Togami (then kill your father). To have that option at the time of Togami duel there are three choices (all are related to the need to know that you may lend the lumen power to someone and the ability to do that):
|
♣ Saved the day with the power of music?
◆ Angel Of Music
How to unlock |
---|
Lose the naval battle during Week 35, then have high enough Foreign Intelligence (≥ 90) to know Togami's history as well as Instrument + Voice > 100 to get the option to sing. You will also need Presence ≥ 70 and Public Speaking ≥ 70. |
♣ Sunk a fleet with magic?

---|
You must have at least three Lumens available in the castle, and your own Lumen skills must be quite high.
Choose to direct the fleet yourself at week 34 and, if you have at least three Lumens counting elodie, you can combine your powers to destroy the fleet. Be sure to have Wield Magic at 100 before doing this or your own ship will be caught in the destruction and you will drown. |

If you do this, later on she will send you a letter saying that her parents are getting divorced. |
♣ Forged a military alliance?
◆ A Military Alliance
How to unlock |
---|
During the negotiation with the Ixionites, give them your territory. Later on during war with Shanjia, you can ask the Ixionites to help you because they owe you a favor. Make sure you have high enough skills in Court Manners otherwise the Ixionites will refuse to help you. |
♣ Been blessed by the favor of cats?
◆ A Divine Omen
How to unlock |
---|
Have Intrigue ≥ 40 in Week 18, have your agents focus on commoner uprisings and get commoner approval as low as possible. When your agents inform you of a commoner uprising, have Herbs ≥ 1 to unlock "Heal the Sick". You must have Herbs ≥ 80 and Divination ≥ 30 for the cats to appear. Herbs + Battlefield Medicine ≥ 60 or Elegance ≥ 50 or Decoration ≥ 50 will be partial successes, but will not unlock this achievement. |
♣ Romanced a commoner?
◆ An Unexpected Pairing
How to unlock |
---|
There are multiple ways to get this achievement; one involves high Noble Approval & Commoner Approval, while another option has at least one of the two approval ratings being negative. Throughout the game, perform the necessary actions to get approval where you want in addition to following the instructions below.
Week 2: Allow Julianna to stay, and talk to her at least once. Week 5: Decline Talarist's necklace. (Court Manners ≥ 10) Week 6: Climb up the tree for a look. (Climbing ≥ 20) Week 14: Recognize Evrard as someone who doesn't belong in the castle (Court Manners ≥ 50), and let him go. Week 27: Don't go to the party. Week 28: Pass a Falcons ≥ 10 check to figure out there's more than a bird outside your window, and sneak out of the palace to meet Evrard. If you are attempting to get this achievement with high Noble & Commoner Approval, eat one of his cookies. A stable Nova will allow you to chase after him in the Epilogue. If you are attempting to get this achievement with low Approval from Nobles and/or Commoners, pass a Poison ≥ 70 check and force him to eat a cookie first. In an unstable Nova, the epilogue will see him named royal taste-tester, and you will marry him from there. ---------- Alternatively, to romance Alice, who will count as a commoner, commit cruel acts (execute people, blast people with magic, force Alice to take your gifts, dance with Alice on week 17, go hunting on the weekends when angry (+1 cruelty) or afraid (+.5 cruelty). When you have the option to choose who you will marry, don't choose anyone. Alice will be mentioned in the Epilogue. |

How to unlock |
---|
There are two ways of doing that. Both cases lead to the same event, they just require different skills to reach the same state. Cruel way.
Failed coup d'état investigation.
Have enough Lumen to destroy the fleet with magic. You must be a Lumen yourself, you must know about the existence of at least two other Lumen, and you must be able to pull off the destruction without dying. After this, your father will inform you that a kraken has appeared. You can choose to seal it or sacrifice yourself. if you know that Lucille is a lumen from encounter at gala and your cruelty is high enough (Cruelty ≥ 10) OR if you know that Lucille is not just a lumen but that she was plotting your demise (there are not cruelty check in that case) then you realise that Charlotte is an alternative and will have the option to sacrifice Charlotte instead. For this achievement you need to have high cruelty, but you should not train in Animal Handling at all. So execute people, visit dungeons and stay angry a lot.
You should also have Herbs and Battlefield Medicine = 0. Poison < 10.5, if anything at all. Lastly you need some other way to pass the check in Week 32 so you don't automatically eat the chocolates and are suspicious enough of them to consider poison. Test Production + Trade ≥ 60 OR Court Manners ≥ 80 to unlock options "Save it for later" and Intrigue ≥ 100 to unlock "Test for Poison." If your cruelty is high enough you will consider first using Alice, but then ultimately decide to force-feed a chicken. |
